It is with pleasure that I introduce myself. My name is Linda Scott, and I am the Director of Children’s Lighthouse in Murrieta, CA.
My family consists of my Husband Ron, our three (3) adult children Chris, Jennifer, and Michelle and my five (5) beautiful grandchildren Landon, Sean, Brooklynn, Michael, and Kailey. I have lived in this area for 32 years and have watched a lot of change. But one thing has remained the same: the need for quality centers for children. My passion has been and continues to be to have centers that are safe, loving and educationally sound. My career in Child Development spans over 30 years. I have spent that time devoted to providing safe, loving, and enriching environments that assist the development of children and support their parents. Each community should have at least one center that has this kind of quality to offer families.
My background includes degrees in Early Childhood and in Business. I have worked for Mt. San Jacinto in the capacity of the Director Mentor Program. I have been the Founding Director of a number of centers in this valley. In the beginning of my career I was a teacher and originally began as a playground supervisor. This is a field that I have loved! Children are such a joy and to spend my days with them is a blessing. Some days are more challenging than others. But the time spent with children is full of honesty, exploration, and assisting in the development of their character. In my opinion, that is time well spent!
