Child Day Care in Woodforest - Children's Lighthouse

Hello! My name is Jennifer Felger the director of Children's Lighthouse of Woodforest.

I began my career in the childcare industry in 1989 as an assistant teacher working with the three year old’s. The exposure to early child learning led me to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. In time, I also attained my credentials as a Texas registered trainer in early childhood education with primary emphasis on pre-school & pre-k.

I have been part of the lighthouse family since 2014. I started as an Assistant Director at one of our sister schools in the Tomball area before moving to our sister school; Children's Lighthouse in Spring_ Harmony as a curriculum coordinator. Subsequently I assumed the role of Director of Education, implementing the lighthouse curriculum across 3 lighthouse sister schools in the Houston area. In January 2018, I assumed the role of the Center Director at the Children's Lighthouse School in Spring - Harmony. In 2021 I moved to Children's Lighthouse of Creekside, Woodlands and finally now as the director of the Woodforest school.

I firmly believe that the health, safety, and security of our children is of utmost importance and is what I emphasis and demand from my teachers and management alike. Finally laying a strong learning foundation for our children in a fun and family-like loving environment is what my team and I strive for each day.
