
Our school's director, Astrid Carrigan, embarked on her journey in Early Childhood Education in 2007, beginning her career by working with toddlers. After gaining experience, she transitioned to teaching three-year-olds. Her association with Children’s Lighthouse of Saginaw started in 2014, where she has served in various capacities, including Preschool Lead Threes teacher, Pre-K lead teacher, Kitchen Manager, Administrative Assistant, Assistant Director, and currently, School Director.
While fully dedicating herself to Children’s Lighthouse, she earned her Associate of Applied Science in Child Development, a Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Business Administration, and her Texas Director’s License.
Mrs. Astrid resides in Fort Worth with her husband, Justin, and their four sons: Jaiden, Darnell, Ashton, and Jordan. In her leisure time, she enjoys family activities, binge-watching crime series, and cheering on Jaiden at his football games.
Mrs. Astrid is deeply passionate about Children’s Lighthouse Saginaw, valuing the strong sense of family it fosters. She believes in the collaborative effort to create a safe, fun, and loving atmosphere for children, staff, and families alike. Her vision for the school is to ensure a secure and enjoyable learning experience for every child while nurturing relationships with parents and family members, emphasizing their importance as valued members of the Lighthouse family.
