Elementary School Support: Before & After School Made Easy
At Children’s Lighthouse of O’Fallon, we know that life doesn’t always line up neatly with school calendars. Between early release days, teacher workdays, and school breaks that don’t match your vacation schedule, finding reliable care can be a real challenge. That’s exactly why our Elementary School Support Program exists — to give families the peace of mind (and flexibility) they deserve.
Our school-age program is designed to support busy families by offering before- and after-school care, as well as care on many of the days local schools are closed. Whether you’re working from home or in the office, we’re here so you can use your time off for family time, not juggling work and childcare.
We open bright and early at 6:30 a.m. and stay open until 6:00 p.m., giving families the flexibility they need to make mornings and afternoons stress-free. We provide a nutritious breakfast for our early arrivals and a tasty afternoon snack for those joining us after school.
Our team currently provides transportation to and from*:
Discovery Ridge Elementary
Twin Chimneys Elementary
Ostmann Elementary
Prairie View Elementary
Barfield Early Childhood
We know consistency matters, so we’re open nearly year-round — closing only on major holidays and one annual service day to deep clean and refresh our school.
Our closures include:
New Year’s Day
Memorial Day
Labor Day
In-Service Day: The Friday before the Wentzville School District year begins
Thanksgiving Day & the Friday after
Christmas Eve (closing early at 3:00 p.m.)
Christmas Day
At Children’s Lighthouse of O’Fallon, we’re proud to be the support system families can count on — through every early morning, school break, and after-school pickup.
Planning Ahead? We’ve Got Summer Covered, Too!
If you’re here, you may also need a little support in the summer! Rather than searching for a new nanny or sitter every year, let us help. Head over to our xSTREAM Quest Summer Adventure page to learn about our flexible, engaging summer program for school-aged students up to 12 years old.
