Director - Katie North

My name is Katie North, and I am proud to be the Center Director at the Children’s Lighthouse of Oak Point. I have been in early childhood education for the last 11 years and truly love working with children. My mission every day is to ensure that every child feels safe, loved and inspired to learn. I believe in strong relationships with our wonderful families, teachers, and our community. When we work together, amazing things happen, and every child that we serve will reach his/her full potential.
When I am not busy leading the Children’s Lighthouse team, I love to spend time with my husband Daniel and our two children, Ladyn and Londyn. I am blessed to have both our children attend Children’s Lighthouse of Oak Point since they were babies. We currently reside in nearby Prosper where we are active in our community. My husband and I love to coach and manage our kids’ sports teams. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors, staying active, and traveling. A little about my background, I grew up in The Colony and graduated from The Colony High School. I attended Midwestern State University where I played collegiate volleyball for four years. After college, I returned home to Texas where I met my husband. He was a Captain in the Army, which allowed us to travel and journey to places all over the world. While in Hawaii, I found my true passion for teaching and inspiring children. We welcome you to the Children’s Lighthouse of Oak Point! We would love you to stop by and visit soon!
