Enrichment Programs
At Children's Lighthouse, learning extends far beyond the classroom. In addition to our proprietary Children's Lighthouse Bright & Cares® Curriculums, which incorporate American Sign Language and Spanish into everyday learning, we provide a variety of engaging enrichment experiences designed to inspire creativity, movement, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Best of all, all enrichment programs are included with tuition—there are no additional fees for families. Parents love seeing photos and videos of these experiences on the Procare Parent Engagement app, which provided real time updates about your child's daily activities.
Weekly Music Classes
Ages 15 months and older
Children enjoy a fun, interactive music class each week taught by our local partner, Stages. Through singing, dancing, movement, and rhythm activities, children develop coordination, listening skills, self-expression, and an appreciation for music.
Monthly Yoga
Ages 2 and older
Led by Ms. Donna, our monthly yoga classes encourage children to build strength, balance, flexibility, and mindfulness through age-appropriate poses, breathing exercises, and imaginative movement.
Monthly Soccer
Ages 2 and older
Our monthly soccer sessions with Ms. Vanessa introduce children to the fundamentals of the game while promoting teamwork, coordination, sportsmanship, and confidence in a fun, supportive environment.
Monthly Library Visits
Ages 3 and older
Each month, a librarian from the Chicago Public Library visits our school to share engaging stories, literacy activities, and a love of books. These special visits help foster early literacy skills and encourage a lifelong passion for reading.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Our enrichment programs complement the Bright & Cares® Curriculums by giving children opportunities to explore music, language, movement, sports, and literacy in exciting new ways. Every experience is thoughtfully selected to support each child's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development while making learning fun.
