Center Director- Ms. Lonnita Allen
Ms. Lonnita holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies from North Carolina A&T State University as well as a Master of Science Degree in Education, Specializing in Early Childhood from Capella University. She has been in the Early Childhood field for over 15 years, working with infants, toddlers, Pre-k, school age, and management. Her research includes SIDs in the African American Community as well as the Effects of Birth Order on a Child’s Personality. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her fiancé, spending time with family, and baking.
Education Director- Ms. Kaiya Anderson
Ms. Kaiya holds a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Studies from North Carolina A&T State University as well as Master of Education in Birth through Kindergarten Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Ms. Kaiya has been in the Early Childhood field for over 7 years working with children birth through kindergarten. She has conducted research that involves the effects of inclusion within the early childhood classroom. She has also worked with UNC-Chapel Hill to implement the "Healthy Me, Healthy We" initiative in private preschools. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling with friends and practicing yoga. The beach is her favorite summer destination. Kaiya likes trying international foods and also attempts to make them at home.
