Janna Kerr comes to Children’s Lighthouse Kyle with over 20 years of experience.  Previously Janna held positions as a Director of Childcare and owned her own successful childcare business in a small town located in East Texas. She has opened several new centers for different companies. 

Janna believes that with the amount of time your child spends with childcare, that your childcare provider should be an extension of your family.  That’s how Janna treats every child, as one of her own.  This philosophy has allowed Janna to develop relationships with families that extends beyond the doors of any school. Additionally, her years of experience in both childcare and medical patient care have afforded her the ability to work with families and develop plans of action to help all children, including those with learning disabilities, to be successful in a school environment.  Janna also believes the staff of the school is an extension of this philosophy and thus strives to team members that not only believe the same but also understand the importance of early childhood education and truly have a passion and love in nurturing and teaching our next generation of children.   

When Janna is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family.  Her weekends are normally filled following her children to their various school and sporting events.  She is a self proclaimed foodie who not only enjoys finding new and exciting places (dives are her favorite) to indulge in a great meal she loves cooking up a feast for her family and friends as well. She also likes to think of herself as an avid botanist and continues to grow her plant baby population daily.  

Janna is beyond excited to be part of the Children’s Lighthouse of Kyle family and thrilled to welcome you and your families to our gorgeous state of the art new school.  We look forward to becoming part of your family as well!
