Hello! My name is Dr. Ira Sullivan, and I am the proud owner of Children's Lighthouse of Hoover. I have a beautiful wife (Ashleigh) and three beautiful daughters (Madison, Kensley and Zoey).  My family and I have lived in the great city of Hoover for the last 15 years.  Purchasing Children’s Lighthouse franchise was a lifelong dream of mine and I couldn’t be happier. My wife and I moved to Birmingham almost 20 years ago.  We both attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She went on to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. I went on to receive my masters in Elementary Education and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I taught 3rd and 5th Grade for 5 years before becoming an administrator.

In early 2014, I became Assistant Principal at Maxwell Elementary School. In 2016, I became Principal of that same school. I love working with teachers and students assisting them with the individual and professional goals.  
 
To have my own school in a city that I love is such an awesome privilege. We live by the saying, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” At Children’s Lighthouse of Hoover, we love what we do, and we take the care of all our children very seriously.  We want parents leaving our school knowing that their children are well taken care of, and that they will receive a phenomenal education.
