Blessed with two kids of their own, son, Jai, 15, and a daughter, Suhana, 8, with a strong educational background, Frisco residents Parkash and Dr. Kiran Arora, husband and wife, bring Children's Lighthouse Learning Center to provide children with a structured experience that is not available in traditional childcare centers. "As parents, we understand that everyone wants what's best for his or her child. That's why we feel we're addressing a true need in Frisco with an educational childcare option that meets and exceeds the preferences of today's families," said Parkash, whose professional experience includes two decades in the semiconductor industry and his current position working for a software company. His accolades include a United States patent in 2000 and co-authoring of an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) publication in 2011. "What children learn at a young age, stays with them forever and we are thrilled to be building tomorrow's leaders today. My wife and I share the same conviction and we are excited to be able to offer other parents in our community the opportunity to shape their child's future through our dream center."
The Aroras' commitment to education stems from each of their backgrounds. Parkash's grandfather, the late Mr. Ram Lal, was a high school principal who devoted his entire life passing his educational values on to others. Parkash's father, Mr. Raj Paul, who retired from Texas Instruments, is currently a professor of mathematics at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and Richland College, and is the recipient of one of the most distinguished awards, 2008 Award for Excellence in the field of Education, presented by the Dallas Historical Society. Dr. Arora, a recipient of America's Top Dentist 2011 award, received her doctorate of dental surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), and her Bachelors in Biochemistry from the University of Texas (UT). She runs a successful family practice in Frisco. Parkash earned his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and his Executive M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).
