Amara Young brings over 11 years of leadership experience as a school director and more than a decade of classroom teaching to Children’s Lighthouse of Celina. A lifelong educator, Amara is passionate about creating nurturing, inclusive environments where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. She believes in partnering closely with families and mentoring educators to ensure every child receives the highest quality early learning experience.
Amara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education, a Master’s degree in Communication with an emphasis in Education, and a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. She is also a certified HSI CPR instructor, underscoring her commitment to maintaining a safe and caring environment for all children.
As the proud mother of four adult children, Amara brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her role. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, writing, exploring nature, and spending time with her family.
