Director - Ashley Barringer
My name is Ashley Barringer. I have lived in Arlington, TX all my life. I have been in early childcare education for over 20 years. I began as an assistant infant teacher then became the lead toddler teacher. I continued my career in early childhood education beginning my journey with Children’s Lighthouse Viridian before we opened in 2019. I started as the lead toddler teacher swiftly moving into the company as an enrollment specialist then progressing to Assistant Director. I was proud to become the Center Director in October 2022. I love being part of the early childhood community and having the chance to see every child grow. I am proud of my team and believe that they are the foundation for all the young lives that they touch. I am excited to see what the future brings!
Malika Carter - Curriculum Coordinator
My name is Malika Carter, and I come from a proud military family background that has given me the opportunity to live in several states throughout my life. After more than two decades in Texas, I am grateful to call this community home.
With over 12 years of experience working with children of all ages, I am honored to be part of the Children’s Lighthouse family. My professional journey has included roles as a gymnastics coach, preschool director, residential coordinator, and now Curriculum Coordinator at Children’s Lighthouse. Each position has strengthened my passion for early childhood education and child development.
I am deeply committed to creating positive learning experiences that help children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe every child deserves a nurturing environment where they feel encouraged, supported, and inspired to succeed. It is truly a privilege to contribute to the growth and development of young learners and to partner with families during these important early years.
